I'd love to know how you changed the pattern to make yours. I teach knitting to groups of seniors and I think this would be a good project. The tote handle on the knitty pattern is not good for seniors. Yours is. And, as far as the seed stitch, I love it but my class struggles with seed ...I'd suggest to them that they substitute garter.
